Michael Duru is a third-generation tailor whose career spans over four decades in menswear and fashion. Beginning at age thirteen in his father's tailoring business, he learned traditional techniques passed down from his father, a skilled craftsman who built a reputation for exceptional work in New Jersey.

After earning his degree in public relations and marketing from Rutgers, Duru spent years in Manhattan's fashion industry, specializing in costume design for film, wardrobing professional athletes, and solving complex fitting challenges.
